Savy Shopping: First Baby Stock Up over 50% off

Not bad for a first time.Yes, this was my first trip couponing for baby stuff. I think the worst part was thinking about just how many diapers and stuff we're going to need. yeah let's don't go there. And now I have a better idea of what to look for, what prices to expect, and what coupons are out there. (I heart P&G). But like I said, Not bad.

What are your favorite websites for saving on baby stuff?

$65 worth of diapers and wipes for *drum roll* $26. That's about $0.10 per diaper! Plus the free wipes :)

Promotion: Buy one box of Pampers Diapers, recieve one Pampers Wipes free.
(promotion ended Tuesday 10/30)
Bought 1 Box of Pampers Cruisers, 96 ct, $25.99
Received 1 Pampers Wipes Tub, $2.99 for free

Promotion lasts until Sunday, 11/4/12. Most stores have some special promotion or sale on P&G products (which is probably over half of everything you have) whenever there is a P&G insert in the paper.

Bought 1 jumbo pack of Pampers Swaddlers size N, ct 36, $8.99 (marked down $3.00)
Bought 3 jumbo pack of Pampers Swaddlers size 1, ct 40, $8.99 (marked down $3.00 each)

USED 4 $2.00 off of 1 jumbo pack Pampers diapers, P&G newspaper insert
RECEIVED $10.00 extrabuck, good on next CVS Purchase

Total spent: $35.99
Total saved: $38.99

That's 52% savings. :)

And yes, as you notice, the diapers are in different sizes, not because of any foreknowledge of mine in reference to my baby, but because some of them were marked as having coupons inside. Sadly the coupons inside were slightly disappointing. The $10 coupon book in the Swaddlers package included a $20 vaule free gift to shutterfly that had expired a few months ago, but $6.00 worth of other coupons good until July. The cruisers box came with two $2.50 coupons off a box of diapers each, but they expire tomorrow and I'm all... wait for it... pooped out on shopping this week. (I had to. please forgive me :P)

Luckily, the expired coupons will not go to waste. The Krazy Coupon Lady has a program that sends expired coupons to deployed military, who can use them up to six months after theirexpiration dates. For more information, see her blog post, Send Coupons to Military Overseas.

If you are a fellow East Coastian (yep. made it up) you can send coupons to this address:

KCL Overseas Coupon Program
Brandy McDowell
2930 Aubrey Dr

As the website says, you only have to sort them into food and non food items. See the post to know more specifics on sorting and sending.
